Cloud Expo Europe's best event yet!

Cloud Expo Europe's best event yet!

15 March 2019: The UK's biggest and best attended technology event series returned to London’s ExCeL on March 12 – 13, welcoming a record-breaking audience of over 21,000, a 763-strong star-studded speaker line-up and over 600 exhibiting vendors.

This year saw the inclusion of three new events - Blockchain Tech World, AI Tech World and DevOps Live - joining the roster of technology events taking place at the venue including; Cloud Expo Europe, Cloud & Cyber Security Expo, Big Data World, Smart IoT and Data Centre World.

The two-day free-to-attend event showcased a conference programme of over 700 industry experts, speaking across a range of panel discussions, roundtable events, fireside chats and keynote speeches.

Visitors flocked to sessions led by tech superstars from companies such as AstraZeneca, BBC, Ford Motor Company, LEGO, PepsiCo, Photobox, Sainsbury's, Sky, Ticketmaster, Trainline and Twitter.

The event's leading speakers also included Ian Johns, chief IT architect at higher education institution King's College London (KCL), who spoke on his experiences of digital disruption in enterprise. He spoke to audiences on how best to prepare for innovation: "Your business model will change. You’re going to move into a high-volume, high-transaction, low-margin model, and you don’t have to be scared of that. You need to embrace that and move as quickly as possible towards it."

The event hosted over 600 of the world’s leading suppliers across the co-located shows including; China Telecom, Citrix, Docker, Gamma, IBM, iomart, Kubernetes, NTT Communications, Puppet, Samsung, T-Systems, UKFast and Veeam Software.

Audiences were impressed with the range of suppliers and conference content on offer. "This event is a one-stop shop for everything I'm interested in professionally. All the tech providers plus interesting people and talks. It is a great place to come, and I will come back next year!" commented Andreas Hertsch, director of data science at Charlotte Tilbury.

Sophie Baker-Davis, marketing and content director at CloserStill Media, said: “The technology space is continuing to evolve at a breakneck speed with new advancements and trends emerging almost weekly. We are dedicated to advancing alongside the industry and maintaining our position at the helm of these fast moving currents, bringing new technologies and services from the world's leading suppliers, unrivalled networking opportunities and constantly diversifying our exciting conference offering."

Make sure to mark out your diaries for next year, as the UK's largest tech event for business returns to the ExCeL on 11 – 12 March 2020.
