Jonny Sheldon
Software Engineer,

Jonny is an experienced software engineer who joined the DRIVE team in November 2022 supporting projects in the DRE and CIRP teams. Jonny has significant knowledge of software engineering and the software development life-cycle (CI/CD pipeline), including issue tracking, testing, documentation, version control and continuous integration. Jonny's responsibilities include moving projects from proof-of-concept into pre-production environment by adopting the best practices of Software Engineering lifecycle.
He has a Masters in Computer Science and approximately 5 years experience working in Python. Prior to joining GOSH Jonny did a PhD in microbiology and bioinformatics before training as a clinical scientist. He has experience in using machine learning to healthcare issues including patient de-identification and patient feedback. He is interested in implementing machine learning models to improve patient care in NHS trusts.
