Mario Chatzidamianos
EU Cultural Ambassador and R&D Strategic Partner,
Diversity Atlas
Mario Chatzidamianos has a background in journalism and international diplomacy, before pivoting into Social and Solidarity Economics (SSE) industries over a decade ago, introducing EU’s Best Practices, namely the European Capital of Youth (Thessaloniki 2014), European Music Day (2011), Cultural Innovators Network (EUROMENA 2012), and global projects such as the ‘Better Together Challenge’ (Korea 2019), and ‘Asian Peace Innovators Forum’ (Salzburg Global 2021-22). He is an interdisciplinary expert on deep tech for CCI, for the New European Bauhaus network, the European Innovation & Technology Institute focusing on Ethics and Deep Tech, and the European Capitals of Culture network, having served as Honorary Ambassador for the International Culture and Creative Industries (CCI) Authority. He co-authored handbooks for global organizations such as ‘Voices of Culture: Re-engaging with Digital Audiences’ for the European Commision, ‘Researchers in Fundraising’ for UK’s Chartered Institute of Fundraising and about to publish a monograph with Anthem Press (US), on Culture & Ethics for Data & AI GRC later this year. Whilst, completing his studies at the UN’s System Staff College on the SDGs and Just Digital Transition, he sits in the advisory board of two startups, and manages ‘The Vocal Lab Art-Research-Culture NGO’. He returns in London for Tech Show, after delivering a keynote speech during “Big Data and AI” conference this past September, supporting Diversity Atlas’s expansion as its EU Cultural Ambassador and R&D strategic partnerships agent.
