The Lead Data Engineer at Penguin Random House UK, Shaan Aucharagram is a London-based data science and engineering specialist. Having started his professional career at 18 after a degree apprenticeship at Santander, where he was shortlisted for various apprenticeship awards, most notable being a BIMA 100, Class of 2021 (British Interactive Media Association). With Penguin, he is applying AI, Data & MLOps to reconfigure the publishing industry whilst currently leading a team of 5 talented engineers, and is intrigued by how data can automate various manual processes in publishing.
